A walk, a keyboard shortcut as a game mechanic, and a surprise.

Introduction:
This is a playlist episode of unintentionally complimentary games. If you squint, hard, and are generous enough to follow me on this line of thought, you could see these games as all taking place in different parts of the same world. An idyllic countryside, a frantic surburbia, a dingy underworld. The games are all notionally cute, all in recognisable genres and forms, their tones varying wildly but consistent in their strange intensity. All good, but that’s why that surprise breather at the end was necessary. More on the air, the sea, the wind and the water, another time.
Invited into someone else’s really nice house
I mention, too briefly, in the show that I should be guesting on an episode of Indie Impressions, the excellent bonus show from the excellent Pre-Order Bonus podcast hosted by the excellent Jacob Price. We’ll be talking about ‘Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo’. I say too briefly, as I whizzed past his introduction, passing up the opportunity to say, out loud, his nickname; the Pixel Professor. Jacob is an indie games community leader, talking about games, and streaming them, with commitment and insight. The Pre-Order Bonus podcast is a great show, so here’s the links:

Provided I don’t sink that episode to the bottom of the podcasting ocean, I’ll post about it on BlueSky when it’s out. And, please, just go follow the Pre-Order Bonus as well.

I accidentally did some voice acting for the excellent Underplayed podcast:
I’ll let you work out where.
